SFS Intec
AFTER 20 years in the same offices Leeds based SFS Intec had become cramped. They wanted to create a better sense of space yet had no extra room to expand into. Stephen Kitching explains how they made more room and started smiling again!
The Challenge
With a rapidly expanding team in their sales and administration office SFS intec wanted a brighter feel that would be conductive to their business. In the 20 years they had been at their Leeds offices they had also developed the business to incorporate a Academy area that welcomed customers. The aim was to provide a functional, open workspace and a professional welcoming training area to showcase their brand.
Technical and IT manager, Stephen Kitching was put in charge of refurbishing the office and turned to VergoUK.

SFS already had an office layout design, but Steve was struggling to visualize what it would look like. Simon Vaughan knew that creating a 3-D walk through plan would help Steve with his choice of furniture. VergoUK created a 3-D model that gave him a real life experience bringing his new office to life and allowing him to walk through it from the comfort of his existing desk.
Once Steve was happy that it would be the right environment for his team, he then commissioned VergoUK to source furniture options within his budget .

The Outcome
“We knew that after 20 years in the same office a facelift was long overdue,” said Stephen Kitching. “With an expanding workforce we wanted the new offices to work for us today but accommodate our future plans.
“I turned to VergoUK because they had previously supplied our ergonomic seating and I felt they understood our problems and could help us out.
“VergoUK being able to create a 3-D plan for us was a game changer. It meant I could visualise what the new offices would look like and appreciate the new dimensions.

• negotiating with an installation expert.
“The finished project is a lot better for the team. I look in the office and see a lot of smiling faces,” he added.
