THE CHALLENGE

The current working climate is shifted when compared to the normal 9-5 stint in an office. Workers have been setting up home offices since March with some being introduced to hybrid-working. This has seen thousands across the country working half of their hours in the office and half at home.

With this, at VergoUK we have seen an increase in workers who have been suffering from musculoskeletal problems. Working at a kitchen table, from the sofa or even the floor in some cases has led to poor posture and as a result, aches and pains.

Concerned about this very problem, the IT company Nexthink reached out to us. They wanted to help their employee’s with comfort as a number were working remotely and some in the office. We were happy to be at hand to help.

THE VERGO SOLUTION

Delivering  a live video webinar to their staff across three countries worldwide, our trained ergonomic specialist demonstrated how to set up a comfortable workstation to avoid any musculoskeletal problems.

This included how to sit correctly in a chair, the appropriate screen height, where to position a keyboard and mouse as well as when to take breaks. Employees were able to engage at the end of the thirty minute video call and asked questions that could help improve their comfort.

THE OUTCOME

The live webinar was very successful with employees across the UK, Spain and America gaining insight into the correct way to set up a workstation so that they can work comfortably whether in the office or at home.
