What Happens When You Book Your DSE Assessment?

February 25, 2021 Back Pain, Ergonomics, Workplace Wellbeing

You or a member of your team have been suffering with a bad back for some time and can’t get comfortable on your chair. You have decided that you should book a display screen equipment assessment to try and solve your problem and get comfortable once and for all however, you don’t know where to go and how to go about solving it. Luckily for you, that’s where we come in!

Who needs a DSE assessment?

Our DSE assessments are designed to help those who work with display screen equipment (laptops, desktops, tablets and mobiles) for more than an hour at a time. They help users on a reactive basis such as those who suffer from musculoskeletal problems so that suitable recommendations can be made to improve their comfort.

Equally, DSE assessments can be carried out on a proactive basis so that you can be comfortable from the get go and avoid any aches and pains that could occur when using uncomfortable and incorrect equipment.

DSE assessments should be carried out on a number of occasions;

  • When a new member of the team starts
  • When there is a change to equipment
  • Somebody changes job roles and moves departments
  • There is a change in environment e.g moving from office to homebased working
  • Somebody flags up a new pain

DSE options and how to book in

To suit any individual or business, we are completely flexible with our DSE assessment offerings. Our solutions can be tailored to suit everybody from an individual, to a global corporation. With our assessments being carried out face to face and remotely, you can choose your preferred option that fits with your way of working.

Alternatively, we also have a popular online platform that can be rolled out to every employee within a business which saves admin time and cuts costs. Our DSE portal then flags up any higher-risk employees who may need a more in-depth assessment. This avoids the cost of paying for a full DSE assessment for every member of staff.

If you have a department or team that you’d like a DSE assessment carrying out on, we also offer half and full day sweeps. After every full DSE assessment, our assessors also supply a written report which outlines the current workstation and the suggested changes.

What happens next?

Once you have decided that a DSE assessment is your best option, there are a number of ways to make your booking. You can do so here online, email us at info@vergouk.com, fill out the form below or, give us a call on 08435 150907. We aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours.

After you have contacted us, a member of our ergonomics team will get in touch to have a chat about your enquiry. From here, we will book in your assessment for a time and date that suits you.

When carrying out your DSE assessment, if there are alterations to your workstation that can be made to improve comfort, our assessor will make these changes. After your assessment, a full written report will be sent back within 72 hours and if any new equipment is needed, it will be recommended in the report.

As always, if you have any questions about any of our services, feel free to reach out and a member of our team would be more than happy to help.
