Vergo UK can provide Basic DSE Assessments for every member of staff at businesses large or small nationwide.

Our Company-wide Basic Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Assessments can be carried out for your entire workforce, whether you have 1 member of staff, or 5,000 employees.

These assessments will typically last 15 minutes per each member of staff and will ensure you meet your legal obligations under the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992, to protect any employee who uses DSE, such as PCs, laptops, tablets and smartphones, for an hour or more at a time.

We help employers assess each user’s workstation area, including the equipment, furniture, environment, and working conditions. We can carry out these Company-Wide Basic DSE Assessments in full or half-day visits and can typically carry out the following number of assessments:

Half Day: 10-12 Assessments

Full Day: 20-25 Assessments

During these short initial assessments, should any of your employees present any signs and/or symptoms of pain or discomfort then we can recommend a more in depth ‘Advance DSE Assessment’, specifically for them that will typically last 45 minutes to an hour.

Our trained DSE assessors can advise on seating position and ergonomic values at the workstation and will include a full report of the existing workstation and the recommendations made. This helps both line managers and ‘end users’ identify any issues with current setups as well as any specific products that may assist on a proactive basis with regards to Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs).

Employees will require a Basic DSE assessment when:

  • a new starter joins
  • a new workstation is set up
  • a change is made to an existing workstation or there is a fundamental change in the way it is used
  • a user complains of discomfort
